For persons interested in becoming a NCHJA steward or judge please see Rule IV (judges) and or Rule V (stewards) in the rulebook. The steps that need to be taken in order for an application to come before the LOC committee for approval are: Contact horse show manager and ask permission to sit in as a learner. Contact the person with whom you would like to sit as a learner for permission. Take an evaluation form (can be printed from above) to the person with whom you are a learner and ask them to fill it in and return it to the NCHJA office. Once you have done the requirements and the forms are in the office on file, fill out the application and return to the office with the proper fees. All of your paperwork will then go to the LOC committee for review and decision.
